We’re a couple who love our food! We take joy in buying it, eating it in pubs and restaurants and sharing our experiences on our blog.
A typical Saturday or Sunday for us starts at a farmers market or on a farm – where we can be found selecting what we want directly from producers – and leads to a local pub or restaurant that specialises in serving up great, honest food, using local produce.
In more recent years, we’ve become interested in going behind the scenes to learn more about what we eat. We blog about it and in June 2014 we launched Food Adventure.
Food Adventure is all about inspirational food tours offering backstage passes to some of Wales’ finest food and drink producers. Our half and full-day tours take you behind the scenes at the very finest – and often little-known – foodie destinations, giving you the chance to meet the producers and taste their amazing produce. We’ve used all our foodie knowledge, contacts and passion to curate some very special days that you can only experience with Food Adventure.
A typical adventure may include a behind the scenes visit to a farm to meet a farmer passionate about rearing quality meat and then a meal in a fabulous restaurant or pub featuring that produce and a demo by the chef.
Other adventures will take you to meet the best artisan food producers in Wales, many of whom don’t open their doors to the public for anyone other than Food Adventure. See a demo to get an insider’s look at what inspires them, or try your hand at making your own creation. We also run incredible foraging days: walk through stunning Welsh landscapes with a forager who supplies Wales’s finest restaurants and then enjoy a cooking class and meal using your foraged products.
